Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how NullDevelopment ("we", "us", or "our"), a solo software studio operated by Giorgi Pataridze, handles information in connection with this website and our mobile applications. We build small, focused, privacy-respecting apps, and we have designed them to collect as little data as possible.
The short version: we do not sell your personal data and we do not show third-party ads. Our apps are built to work without an account, and most data they create, such as your focus sessions, journal entries, and settings, stays on your device.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to the NullDevelopment website and to all apps we publish on the Google Play Store and other distribution channels. Our current live app is NullState, a focused productivity app. As we release additional apps (such as the NullPoint, NullTrace, and NullFlow concepts), this policy covers them unless a specific app provides its own separate policy.
2. Information we collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to make things work.
Information you create in the app (stored on your device).
- Content you enter, for example focus sessions, journal entries, timer settings, and your in-app preferences.
- By default this content is stored locally on your device. NullState does not require an account for its core features, and we do not upload this content to our servers.
Information we do not collect.
- We do not require your name, email address, or phone number to use the app.
- We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, or messages.
- We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone, ever.
- We do not use your data to build advertising profiles.
Diagnostics & analytics (limited, and only if enabled).
- To keep the app stable we may use a privacy-conscious crash-reporting and basic analytics service, for example Google Firebase / Crashlytics. Where used, it collects technical diagnostics such as crash logs, app version, device model, operating-system version, and anonymous, aggregated usage events (e.g. "a session started"). This helps us find and fix bugs.
- This diagnostic data is not used to identify you personally and is not sold. Where an app offers a setting to opt out of optional analytics, you can disable it in the app's settings.
Website.
- This is a static site with no accounts, no login, and no contact form. Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and user-agent) for security and reliability. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
3. How we use information
- To provide the app's core features and store your settings on your device.
- To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve performance and reliability.
- To understand, in aggregate, which features are used so we can improve the app.
- To respond to your support requests and questions.
- To comply with applicable law.
We do not use your in-app content for advertising, and we do not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
4. Third-party services & SDKs
We rely on a small number of reputable third-party services to publish and operate our apps. Each operates under its own privacy policy:
- Google Play handles app distribution and, where applicable, billing. Google may collect data as described in its own privacy policy.
- Google Firebase / Crashlytics (if enabled) provides crash reporting and basic, aggregated analytics, as described in Section 2.
We do not integrate third-party advertising networks. If we ever add a service that changes what data is collected, we will update this policy and the app's Google Play Data Safety section accordingly.
5. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We may share limited information only in these cases:
- Service providers: with vendors like Google that process data on our behalf (e.g. crash reporting), strictly to operate the app.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or the public.
- Business transfer: if NullDevelopment is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will notify users of any material change in how data is handled.
6. Children's privacy
Our apps are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at nulldevelopment.co@gmail.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
7. Data retention & deletion
- On-device content stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes its locally stored data from your device.
- Diagnostic data (e.g. crash logs), where collected, is retained only as long as needed for debugging and is then deleted or anonymized.
- Deletion requests. You can request deletion of any personal data we may hold about you by emailing nulldevelopment.co@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request". We will verify and process your request within a reasonable period and as required by applicable law.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including keeping app content on your device by default and limiting the data we collect. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International users
NullDevelopment is operated by an independent developer and our apps are available worldwide. If you use our apps from outside the developer's country of residence, any limited data processed (such as crash diagnostics handled by Google) may be processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from your own. Where required, we rely on the appropriate safeguards provided by our service providers. By using the apps, you understand that your information may be processed in such locations.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because our apps are designed to keep most data on your device and we collect minimal personal data, the most direct way to exercise these rights is to manage or delete data within the app, or to contact us at nulldevelopment.co@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. When we make material changes we will revise the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or on this website. Your continued use of the apps after an update means you accept the revised policy.
